Jesús Reina, violin

Recognized for his profound musicality and expressive sound, Jesús Reina is one of the outstanding violinists of today.
He has performed in prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Carnegie Hall, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, and the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.
From a young age, he showed an exceptional connection to the violin, beginning his training in folk music with his grandfather, José Reina, before studying at institutions such as the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Manhattan School of Music with Pinchas Zukerman and Patinka Kopec. He has performed as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre Philharmonic, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Valery Gergiev and Pinchas Zukerman, among others.
Reina is the co-founder, alongside violinist Anna Nilsen, of the Málaga Clásica Festival and the Galamian Academy. In 2024, he successfully premiered the Cruze de Caminos project, and in 2025, he was named Artist-in-Residence of the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería (OCAL) and received the “Estrella Feniqué” Award for Culture.
