Adrian Brendel impresses with the way he makes every note he plays sound ‘natural’. He has a very strong musical conviction and doesn’t need a lot of show to tell what he wants to tell. Perhaps this is something he inherited from his (pianist) father Alfred. But please don’t misunderstand, at the same time he’s very, very passionate! This concert will mark the first time that Adrian and Itamar play together and we’re very curious to hear the result. A first encounter usually adds something ‘extra’ to a concert… Perhaps this first encounter will grow into a friendship like the one between Benjamin Britten and Mstislav Rostropovich (which resulted in Britten writing his fabulous Sonata for him)…
